Our Mission
AHAAMES’ mission is to contribute to the sustainable improvement of living conditions for Haitian communities through humanitarian, social, health, educational, and environmental initiatives.
We are committed to:

Meet Betty
Betty is one of 100 recipients of rabbits as part of the food security project, funded by the BMZ and implemented in collaboration with Malteser International.
A mother of three, Betty explains that previously, in her community in Baradères, in the Nippes department, rabbit farming was rarely practiced because residents believed it could not be profitable.
Thanks to the training provided as part of the project, community members have discovered the economic potential of rabbit farming. Betty received four rabbits that will allow her to start her own rabbit farm, generate income, and better provide for her family.

“With the four rabbits I received from the field school, I can finally start my own rabbit farm. Thanks to the new baby rabbits they’ll give birth to, I’ll be able to feed my family and earn an income… From what I learned during the training sessions, rabbit meat is extremely nutritious.”
